This website republishes preliminary traffic incident information from publicly available California Highway Patrol dispatch data.

Do not rely on this site for accuracy. Dispatch entries are written in real time during an active emergency, before anyone has investigated. They are frequently incomplete, they change as an incident develops, and they are sometimes wrong. Locations, times, vehicle counts and injury severity are all preliminary and may be contradicted by the official collision report. Nothing on this site is an official record.

No personal information. Our source data contains no names and no personal identities, and none appear on our pages.

What we cannot do. We cannot alter or remove official government records, and we cannot provide copies of official collision reports — those must be requested from the investigating agency.
